The Odesa-Basket Sports Club for People with Disabilities recently celebrated remarkable achievements at the Ukrainian Billiard Championship. This prestigious event brought together athletes with musculoskeletal disorders, veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and their families. For the Odesa team, it was a defining moment of triumph and resilience.

In the team competition, Serhiy Kotsiuba, a veteran and a key figure in the city's rehabilitation services, claimed first place. His victory underscored not only his skill but also the positive impact of sports as part of rehabilitation for veterans. The following day, Kotsiuba continued his winning streak, capturing the title at the Ukrainian Sports Billiards Championship. Fellow Odesa-Basket athletes Dmytro Danilov and Valeriy Chuguev also distinguished themselves by securing third place in the team competition.

"The experience of the Odesa-Basket Club, supported consistently by the Odesa city authorities, stands as a strong model for veteran rehabilitation," Rybak noted.
