VADIM PUDZYREI

Vadim Pudzyrei is a distinguished Ukrainian basketball player and coach, a four-time Ukrainian champion.

Vadim grew up in Odesa, initially interested in football, but his sporting career took a drastic turn when he was transferred to a specialized basketball class. His training at the Sports School of Olympic Reserve № 2 under the guidance of his first coach, Zoya Lesnaya, laid the foundation for his successful basketball career.
Throughout his professional career, Vadim remained loyal to one team, achieving numerous significant titles. His accolades include four Ukrainian Championship gold medals (1998, 1999, 2001, 2002), three silvers (1997, 2000, 2003), and one bronze (1994). He also won the Ukrainian Cup twice (1993, 2001) and the NEBL Challenge Cup once (2001).
Vadim was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the BIPA Basketball Club, underscoring his significance and influence on the sport in the region. From 2015 to 2017, he also served as the head coach of the BIPA Odesa basketball club.

Transitioning to coaching after his playing career, Vadim continued to demonstrate outstanding results, including securing a bronze in the Ukrainian Championship in 2004 and again in the 2022/23 season while leading the team "BIPA-Odesa Region".
